Grain storage, protection and treatment

Protecting your crop post-harvest is just as important as applying fertiliser and ag chem during the season, and grain protectants and fumigation are essential for the continued control of pests and diseases. 

Grain protectants and fumigation are particularly important in the Wimmera and Mallee due to our warm climate, which can create ideal conditions for pests and diseases to thrive.

Several different grain protectants and fumigants are available, and the best product for a particular situation will depend on the type of pests and diseases present. It is important to follow the instructions on the product label carefully to ensure it is used safely and effectively and to use these products as part of an Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategy.
